Weather Conditions - Update
During the current inclement weather conditions there is the potential for properties to be affected by frozen and burst pipes. You may notice a drop in water pressure or indeed you may have no water at all however burst pipes can also occur without any obvious signs until they thaw. It is at this point that you could experience substantial water damage. It is therefore imperative that you take steps to prevent these problems occurring
- Ensure you know how to turn off water to your home
- Ensure any dripping taps and overflows are repaired
- Ensure heating systems are set to come on at least a few times each day
- If you are away from home ensure you have someone to check your property regularly
We hope that these few simple measures will help prevent the possibility of frozen and burst pipes. If however, you experience frozen or burst pipes please contact our Repairs Department on 0141 302 1200 ( or 0141 332 9225 outwith office hours) in order that we can arrange for a plumber to attend. Please note that there is the possibility of a high demand for this service, however, we will endeavour to have a contractor attend your property as quickly as possible.
