At Speirs Gumley we work  directly with four of the largest UK insurers, namely Norwich Union, Royal Sun Alliance, Alliance Cornhill and AXA. This allows us to offer our clients a wide range of products and services from these companies.

Our direct involvement with the Insurers is as a result of our decision not to outsource our insurance business, as we considered it was in our clients’ best interest to retain and control this service in-house.

Our Insurance Section will deal with your property insurance from every aspect whether preparing policies or handling claims. What’s more, by dealing with every aspect of Insurance we gather important information on each property which allows the premium to be calculated, not only as part of a large portfolio, but also on its own merits. This ensures that increases will only  be applied when necessary. Our range of insurance cover whether it is building, lift or liability continues to be very competitive.

In addition, we have negotiated a service level agreement to meet the demand of our clients such as Delegated Authority to instruct re-instatement work to an agreed limit, authority to appoint loss adjusters direct and so on. This helps reduce the stress of dealing with an insurance claim, which can be a particularly anxious time.

We have a proven track record in the swift settlement of claims, and in conjunction with our repairs section monitor the performance of contractors appointed (or in some cases recommended) to complete insurance works. We provide support and guidance, including technical back up, throughout the process.

Transparency

Speirs Gumley is open about all its business dealings – our clients put their trust in us and we believe in full transparency at all times. Although we do not charge our clients a fee for our insurance services, we do receive commission from the Insurers for the administration involved in the management of insurance business and claims handling.
